Hot Chocolate


This hot chocolate is low calorie, low glycemic index.  Even if it's not cold out, you can drink this after dinner if you're craving something sweet but don't want to eat dessert.

1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tbsp. of unsweetened cocoa
maple sugar to taste (I use 4 tsp)

Heat the almond milk and cocoa in a small pan on the stove.  Heat it up to whatever temperature you like to drink hot beverages.  Pour into a mug and wait for it to cool a little before adding the sugar.  Add a little sugar and then taste it, you may not need to add as much as you think.  Once you get the drink to your desired sweetness, enjoy!

Tip: start to add a little less sugar each time you make this.  You may find that you eventually need little to no sugar.
